Vertigo Quintet & Dorota Barová

One of the most original and progressive Czech jazz bands rooted in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, Vertigo Quintet quickly departed from both their original interest in freejazz and their likeness to Scandinavian ECM music, instead focusing on collective improvisation and retaining freedom within highly composed music.

Their third album, recorded with cellist and singer Dorota Barová, features exceptional vocal and instrumental performances as well as original compositions.

The album was nominated for the Anděl Jazz Award for Album of the Year.
